Hello, my loves!

It’s Friday, so it must be time for me to share a project over on the Avery Elle Design Blog.  My project today features the Shine Bright Stamp Set and coordinating dies.

PRODUCTS USED:

Shine Bright Stamp Set
Shine Bright Dies
Double Pierced Circle Dies
Double Pierced Square Dies
New Moon Dye Ink

The Shine Bright Stamp Set lends itself to very detailed as well as clean and simple card designs.  I love a versatile stamp set like that.  I stamped the images from the Shine Bright Stamp Set using New Moon Dye Ink and colored them with Copic Markers.  I die cut the images using the coordinating Shine Bright Dies.  I masked off the edges of a 4.25” square card base and blended some distress inks to create the sunset.  I die cut the image panel using the Double Pierced Square Dies and the Double Pierced Circle Dies.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used above.

Okay, you all just knew I had to try some ink blending to accent the elements of the A-maze-ing Card Kit!  Here’s how I created my project:

  1. Trim an A2, horizontal, top-folding card base from Smooth White Card StockScore at 4.25”, fold in half and perfect the crease with a Teflon Bone Folder.
  2. Die cut an image panel from Smooth White Card Stock using the rectangle die from Blueprints 1 Die-Namics.
  3. Using a Mini Ink Blending Tool, blend some Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon, Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed Distress Inks onto a panel of Smooth White Card Stock.  Trim a narrow strip from this panel to fit the the length of the image panel.
  4. Trim a narrow strip of Black Licorice Card Stock the length of the image panel.  Stamp the sentiment from the You’re A-maze-ing Stamp Set using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink, and heat emboss it with White Detail Embossing Powder.
  5. Die cut a circle from the image panel using the Circle Shaker Window Die.  Temporarily position the image panel onto the card base.  Use the circle aperture as a guide to adhere the black maze shape to the card base using Multi Medium Matte liquid adhesive.
  6. Die cut the Circle Frame Die from Smooth White Card Stock, and leave the resulting die cuts in place.  Using a Mini Ink Blending Tool, blend some Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon, Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed Distress Inks around the circle frame die cut.
  7. Die cut the Circle Frame Die from double-sided adhesive.  Adhere the die cut to the back of the image panel, around the circle opening.  Adhere a Circle Shaker Pouch into the circle aperture.
  8. Drop a Maze Sphere into the Maze Shape.  Adhere the image panel to the card base using foam tape.
  9. Die cut a heart from a scrap of the previously ink blended panel.  Adhere it to the center of the Circle Shaker Pouch using tape adhesive.  Adhere the ink blended circle frame die cut to the image panel, around the outside of the assembled circle shaker pouch, using foam tape.
  10. Adhere the sentiment strip to the rainbow strip using tape adhesive.  Adhere the strips to the image panel using foam tape.

There you go, an a-maze-ing interactive puzzle surrounded by some ink blended rainbow goodness!!  What more could a person want, right?!!  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below!  The A-maze-Ing Card Kit is available for purchase HERE, so be sure and order yours NOW!  Please click on through to the My Favorite Things Design Blog to be linked to the other genius projects that my teammates have created for your inspiration using the new A-maze-ing Card Kit!  I assure you you’ll be utterly A-MAZED!!

I’m back again today to share another project featuring the soon-to-be-released A-maze-ing Card Kit from My Favorite Things!  Today, I decided to make my card interactive by adding one of the spheres and the circle shaker pouch, both of which are included in the kit!

The kit includes everything you need to add this interactive puzzle embellishment to your cards and projects!  And It’s so stinkin’ easy!!  Here’s how I created my project:

  2. Stamp the sentiment from the A-maze-ing Stamp Set onto the image panel using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.
  3. Die cut the circle opening from the center of the image panel using the A-maze-ing Die-Namics.
  4. Temporarily position the die cut image panel onto the card base, aligning it with the top edge.  Use the circle opening as your guide and adhere the black maze shape to the card base using Multi Medium Matte liquid adhesive.  Place a maze sphere into the maze.
  5. Die cut some double sided adhesive using the circle frame die from the A-maze-ing Die-Namics; die cut some Ripe Raspberry Card Stock using the same circle frame die.
  6. Adhere the die cut double sided adhesive to the back of the image panel around the circle opening.  Remove the release paper and adhere a circle shaker pouch to the image panel.
  7. Adhere the Ripe Raspberry circle frame to the image panel using foam tape.
  8. Adhere a strip of black and white striped patterned paper (from the Black & White Basics 6 x 6 Paper Pack) to the bottom edge of the card base using tape adhesive.
  9. Adhere the assembled image panel to the card base using foam tape.

Again, another easy yet fun and impactful result!!  How fun would it be for your recipient to receive this in the mail and get such a kick out of trying to get that little round ball into the center circle!  And the best part is, they can do this over and over again!!  It’s the card that keeps on giving!  LOL  Please click on through to the My Favorite Things Design Blog to be linked to the other genius designs created by my sweet teammates!  You’ll be A-Mazed!!  LOL  I’ve linked and listed all of the products that I used below.  The A-maze-ing Card Kit will be available for purchase on Tuesday, April 18th at 9:00 PM EDT!!  The hyperlinks to the kit won’t be active until then!

Hello!!

MFT_Amazeing_Blog

I’m popping in quickly today to share my first project for this month’s My Favorite Things April Card Kit – A-maze-ing.  And let me just tell you, this kit is truly AH-MAZING!  I had so much fun playing with this kit, and I know you all are going to, as well.

KKL_APR1617-Card-Kit-Day-1

The kit includes all of the components that you’ll need to create super fun projects, and they can either be interactive or just super fun and dimensional!  I decided to go the dimensional route with this one.  The A-maze-ing Stamp Set coordinates perfectly with the maze shapes. Here’s how I created my project:

  1. Trim a 4.25” x 8.5” card base from Poppy Card StockScore at 4.25”, fold in half and perfect the crease with a Teflon Bone Folder.
  2. Center and stamp the maze path from the A-maze-ing Stamp Set using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.
  3. Stamp the sentiment first using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink and then again using VersaMark Ink.  Heat emboss the sentiment using Clear Detail Embossing Powder.
  4. Adhere a white maze shape to the image panel using Multi Medium Matte liquid adhesive, making sure to align the shape to follow the stamped maze path.  (NOTE:  There are several maze shapes included with the kit; however, you can purchase additional maze shapes from the My Favorite Things Online Store.)
  5. Die cut a heart and a star from Poppy Card Stock using the A-maze-ing Die-Namics.  Adhere them to the image panel using foam tape.
  6. Adhere the image panel to the card base using foam tape.

Seriously, this card kit lends itself to super simple yet impactful cards that I know your friends and loved ones will adore and be A-MAZED by!  Please click on through to the My Favorite Things Design Blog to be linked to the other incredibly creative projects that my sweet teammates have designed for your inspiration!  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used on this project below.  The A-maze-ing Card Kit will be available for purchase on Tuesday, April 18th at 9:00 PM EDT!!  The hyperlinks to the kit won’t be active until then!
